IF THE ROOM YOU'RE RECORDING IN IS A SQUARE OR A RECTANGLE, YOU'RE IN THE WRONG ROOM.

 

No matter how good your gear is or how many plug-ins you have, half the sound of your recording is the room you record in. South Mountain Sound has one of the best trapezoidal rooms around, purpose built from the ground up for the job.

 

Even with the 5000 watt monitor system going, we're able to capture a great recording. Or, if you prefer super clean with no bleed, we have the best headphone system available—a BSS Soundweb configured to provide four stereo mixes with four independent F/X processors. If you need a little reverb on your vocal in your left ear and a little chorus in your right, we can do that.

 

We also have a well-maintained and well-tuned DW drum set with custom deep shells and a nice collection of Zildjian cymbals.
